comes on before I turn the key to on, but, once I start the bike it turns off...it never used to do this...but I've only have put 70 miles on the bike since I got it...Is this normal because there is no pressure until the engine starts??? I checked the oil...it was low, so I added oil to bring the level up...

 

I'm sure its normal. Make sure your bike is sitting level when you check the oil if you didnt already know .

If your oil light comes on as soon as the key is put in then something is not ok, if it comes on when the key is turned to the ON position and goes out after it is started than its normal.

 

i put the key in, turn it to on...light for stand comes on neutral light comes on and oil light...once I hit the start button, it goes out...

 

yup... everything is OK!
