I've had my F2 for a little over half a year now and have yet to lubricate the chain... how often should I do it and what kind of chain lub would people recommend?

 

I believe it's every 500 miles. It also depends on weather conditiond. If you ride alot in the rain you would need to lube alittle more often.

 

yeah its every 500 miles, what i do is WD-40 the chain and let it sit a couple of minutes. then rinse it off. let the chain completely dry. then apply Chain wax.

 

PJ1 Blue Label. Clean your chain with contact cleaner, wipe it all off. Warm your chain up (ride around the block) Spray on a copious amount. Let sit for 10 mins, wipe off the excess. The Blue Label is actually clear and makes very little mess.

If you've had your bike that long without lubing the chain, you will likely need to adjust it too. 1" to 1 1/2" travel at the tightest spot on the chain.

ps. a improperlly maintianed chain will rob you of btwn 3-7 hp. more than some race cans give.
