Yes. Went with 1 down in the front and 3 up in the rear. Also did a 520 conversion at the same time so I don't know how much of the results was from the sprockets alone. However it was a great improvement on accel. Puts rpms higher now so at cruising speeds the aftermarket pipe is louder but who cares! It is much more fun to ride and coming off the corners is better.

I once rode a '91 or '92 f2 when I was in college over 15 yrs ago
That bike was scary fast...scary!
But 15 yrs later, when I rode my 1992 f2, it didn't feel anywhere near as fast as that old one.
I think that f2 from college had a jet kit and exhaust...and maybe a sprocket change!

MT Wallet,
My chain and sprockets were worn so I figured I would do everything at once. The way I understand it is reducing the driveline weight is a good think for performance. I guess it is like putting on lighter wheels. Also save a couple lbs off the bike.
I got this from this site.. http://www.davidparis.org/daytona/520conv.html (not sure if 530 is the stock CBR chain or not).
I took it all out, and once the time came to do the task of the conversion, I first weighed each component of the 520 kit, and once I got the 530 stuff off, weighed that. A bit surprising numbers.
520
530
Chain
71.4 oz
78.5 oz
Rear Sprocket
10.4 oz
35.1 oz
Front Sprocket
6.8 oz
11 oz
Total
88.6 oz
124.6 oz
So, 36 oz total savings (2 1/4 pounds), or 29% over stock.

530 is stock. I went from having the -1/+2 when I bought the bike but I took the previous owners word that it was stock gearing. Liar. Anyway, I bought both sprockets at stock gearing and it just sucked the life out of it. It's really no bother to me because I've already gotten all my speed thrills out of it. That, and I'm planning a bike trip up to the UP (thats the upper peninsula of Michigan for all you non-midwesterners) and back down the other side of the lake. I'm planning on buying a newer CBR long before its time to get a new chain or sprockets again.
I discussed it all in a thread not too long ago.
