Default How do you do reverse aka gp shift on an F2?

So I used the search and this is the closest I found:

https://cbrforum.com/forum/900-modifications-44/gp-shift-mod-98-cbr-900rr-91972/

So how do you do reverse/gp shift on an F2?

Thanks

you can do it just like the second post says, just take the 8mm bolt out and pull the shifter off. Then rotate that arm around and it will be backwards. not 100% sure about clearance.

from looking at mine I dont think the arm and/or linkage will clear. did you do this to yours successfully?

Some people just like how it feels better but the most concrete advantage is that when youre in a turn and want to upshift its easier to have your foot ontop of the peg instead of underneath it to keep your foot from scraping. Also as your accelerating some people find it more natural to push "down" because thats the direction the accelerating is encouraging your foot to go. Finally, its just "cool" because iirc most of the gp riders have it set up this way and come on, who doesnt want to be like one of those guys?

I personally still haven't actually tried it so I'm not speaking from personal experience.
