Higher mileage bikes
I'm going to look at a '94 F2 tomorrow, with 40k miles, $2000. I've heard f2s have been know to hold up for quite a while, but I wouldn't mind getting some input on this. Has anyone had any expirences with their engine blowing up? At what mileage? Any advice on how to determine if the engine has been abused? Thanks

RE: Higher mileage bikes
i bought mine with 23000 and it runs like new never had a problem hondas last forever !! CBR is the way to go and if it does blow up you can buy a used engine for about 300-400 bucks. honda for life!!!

RE: Higher mileage bikes
I picked up mine with 25,000 miles. 8,000 later, she is running good.
The only problem is that is was ridden for all the miles fast, then put in storage. There is a difference between ridden and stored miles! For the price, do it! Tim |

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

RE: Higher mileage bikes
So I ended up buying it! Pretty good condition, but it could use a bit of patchwork on the right fairing.
Thanks for the advice. |
