well i found out today that the tail fairings are only good for about 130mph until they blow off. my wife was riding lead and i was 2 people behind her on some country florida backroads when out of nowhere her left tail fairing caught wind and blew off. the guy that was riding between her and i hit it and destroyed it. if anyone has a left side tail peice for a 91 f2 in black please let me know. paypal is ready as soon as i see pictures of it and its tabs. im not too concerned with the paint condition as long as all the tabs are there.

 

Got an F4I tail section laying around for trade? Sucky story glad no one was hurt in the incident.

when you say tail faring, do you mean the center tail faring? Or, the long one that runs down the side of the tail? If it's the side, it stays in at over 130mph. You might not have had the little set screw lock in position. As to finding a new tail, you're probably gonna have to just wait a while till one pops up on Ebay. That, or, go through past classifieds in the For Sale section at the bottom. Hope ya find something.
