alright i recently put a stage 1 dj kit in my bike ive been testing and tuning it.lastnight i took her for a ride ran great well on my way home my rpms shot up to 6k with a fully closed throttle and would not come down.started it up today same deal 6k closed throttle wtf? i checked my choke it seemed to be working fine at least the lever.note that i live about two blocks down a dirt rd. i wasnt hallin *** down it though iam at a loss.tried my idle adjust screw nada. has no effect.

 

Sounds like something gave...return spring etc...that closes the throttle...That's the only thing that comes to mind.

well i pulled my carbs off and the butterflies close and open fine. my slides were geting stuckeven though thats not iti looked in there and there was a fair amount of sand in there so a good cleaning and check all my hoses for clogs and will try again.

 

pulled er apart......again and wow all the jets were cloged bad but she togther and runs perfect now. lesson learned make sure u got ur fairings on,on a dirt road even if its just a test ride.

 

NICE! Yea, next to electrical, I hate fuel problems...
