Heat Shield

Hi,

Can anyone post a picture of how / where I install the rubber heat shield that covers the coils and plugs ?.
I am trying to tune my carbs but i want to make everything else spot on before I start. My bike didn't have one so i picked it up from ebay and cant figure out how to install it (idiot moment).

thanks

There are pins on the sides of the frame rails that hook into holes in the rubber guard. There is also a bendable tab or two that holds down the other end.

It mounts in the area behind the t-stem and in front of the coils. The slot in the rubber has a bendable metal tab in the front go through it. The "ears" of the rubber guard go under the frame rails and reach up to the pins on each side. It creates a still air pocket that the two intake tubes from the airbox to sit in. This prevents high speed air from upsetting the carb fueling. This is what it should look like. The brackets hold the coil wires in place.
