Default Handle Bars Below Clamps?

Anyone put their bars below the clamps for a more aggressive riding position? I would like to do it but it looks like the front master cylinder would hit the guages and the bars would make contact with the tank. What did you do to make it work with fairings on?

I've seen that done on a lot of Cafe Racer type conversions, but I don't think I've seen anyone do that on a full-fairing F2. Since I've had my clip-ons off and back on recently, and noted how tight the fairing clearance is in regard to the angle of the stock levers, I would assume this would not be possible, but I couldn't say for sure.
That would definitely help you to tuck "behind the bubble" more, but I don't think I could ever get used to that... myself, anyway.

I have a fighter that could do lower bars but a cafe on the f2 would be well absolutely stupid

Agreed. The cafe racers I'm referring to weren't F2s, that would be ridiculous!

I actually seen an F2 in a old Sport Rider Magazine. Kaz Yoshima built it, and the bars were below the clamps. He rotated the upper fairing counter clockwise, looking at the bike from the right side/brake side. Aftermarket fairing stay and tach. The fairing required some trimming where the air intake is. But he had a F3 style ram air before F3 came out. It was definitely bad ***. Kaz is a master at his craft for sure. I'll eventually get it done. The bike is track only so it doable for sure. If it was a street bike I woundn't even consider it.

I found this article that mentions an F3 that Kaz built, but that's all I could find, anyway.
