Default got to ride today for the first time. and a few questions

we put a new tire on the front. it is a 170 and we took a 160 off her. i was almost flat footing it with the flat tire, but one we put the aired up bigger one on it was a whole 'nother story. made me a lot more nervous being on there. once she is street legal though, we are getting the right sized tire and shaving an inch out of the seat so i can ride more sure of myself.

the side stand....wow. scary. it is bent, pretty badly. she leaned over pretty far with the other tire on, but when we put the new tire on she is leaning over so far that i think if someone farted next to her she would blow over. can we heat up the stand and bang it out strait or just look for another one?

DH took me to a huge parking lot to ride, it was fun. he layed out our tie downs (about 8 of them) about 10 feet apart and had me ride between them.

i am going to be taking the MSF in March i think. we are waiting until they have a sunday/monday class so DH only has to take off one day of work. Plus she is going to need lots of work to get street legal. we don't have the title, but we are going to try and get in touch with the original owner and have them file for a lost title for us.

can we interchange f4 parts on my f2?

(sorry so back on forth on the subject range..i have to type what i am thinking right then or i will forget about it)

F4 parts, not so much.
F3, usually a pretty good match.

170 on the front? Are you serious? that is nuts, definitely need to invest in some different tires mate.

Glad you got out on her Scatter and had some fun. Just wait until you get the right sized tires on her!! The F2s take 120s up front and 160s in back.Maybe you want to look into a lowering kit. I don't know much about them, but if you ask around in here, you should get some good responses.

Good idea to take the MSF. It should help lower your insurance too.

How can you even put a 170 on the front, and you say took a 160 off? You have to mean the rear eh?

Is that what it read on the tire or did you put a tape measure up next to it and get 170cm?
What does the tire specs say? 17/55/120? 16/55/120? perhaps?
