The good ol' R/R problem

Hello, my dear enthusiasts!

I'm Daniel, a happy CBR F2 owner since November and i'm from Romania, so please excuse my english.

My story goes like this: 2 days ago i rode my bike for an hour or so, when the engine suddenly died. My battery was dead. I asked someone to push me, i started the bike and went on. After 5 minutes, i switched my lights on and the engine died again. This time, someone else pushed me but in vain.. Finally, i jumpstarted it and i managed to get home.

I read about the common rectifier/regulator problem on F2's so i checked it. This is what i found:

My question is: is it enough to change the R/R and that burned jack? Will it solve my problem? I read about putting a Suzuki gsxr 1000 '04-'05 R/R instead of Honda's R/R, some say it's a better alternative because it's bigger and it doesn't get that hot.

Any help/sugestion would be highly appreciated!
