Sorry if this is a repost, but I didn't find it anywhere. The following is a direct quote from Total Control, a book by Lee Parks:

"With three simple aerodynamic enhancements, we increased the topspeed of a 1992 Honda CBR600F2 by over 11.3 MPH. First, we cut the gas tank down a little to help flatten the rider's back. Second, we removed the entire lower fairing. And finally, we created a tail section similar to the one used on the Buell RW750. To help put this in perspective, the equivalent speed increase would have required an additional 20 HP." - page 113

So if any of you fabricators out there wanna make your F2 go faster, that's one way to do it. BTW, The Buell RW750 is considered to be "one of the most aerodynamic motorcycles of the modern era." <----- another quote from Lee Parks
