RE: Gear heads, let me hear it.
I bought mine with the intent of selling during tax time... and get a new bike. Problem is, I like the F2. So, I figure I'll keep it, and try to make it as light as possible. Aside from a slip-on and re-gearing, I don't know what else to do to make it better (the suspension, and brakes are perfect). Headers, ignition advance, filter, and jet kit are the only things I can think of... and from what I understand, you don't get much bank for your buck by doing all that stuff. I don't know?

RE: Gear heads, let me hear it.
so here is the list i came up with from a few sites of what can be done
-F3 rear shock/harder front springs
-SS braided brake lines/EBC brake rotors
-Pistons/Cam
-Carb sync and jetting
-lighter front/rear wheel and wider rear
-full or slip on exhaust
-chain+sprockets
-F3 carbs + F3 ram air (on here i read its a lot of work but then i talked to someone that said it worked on his was easy...)
anything i missed? or anything to add?

RE: Gear heads, let me hear it.
(What full exhaust would you suggest besides D&D? I know they make a streetpak, but I'm sill wary of it being too loud. I have a Jardine slipon I really like... if I could only fit the two together (D&D header+Jardine can)... )
Hey Fred I have a D&D pipe on my bike and I love it. I dont like the pipes that are quiet. I personally like being able to hear and feel the power. It is loud, but not deafening. Also I got a new Snell helmet with extra padding recentlyand it really muffeled the sound especially on rides on the interstate. My helmet made a huge difference for my hearing the bike, but I didnt mind the sound with my other helmet.
I dont know what kind of HP gains or weight lose gains it made because it was on the bike when i bought it. Sound as well as performance was a huge factor for me buying my bike.
Just my opinion
