Ok, I'm confused. Your going to need to help me out here.
F2's don't have fuel pumps. So you can't knock a wire off it ???

Is the fuel pump inside the gas tank or outside the gas tank?

F2's don't need fuel pump. There are no good reasons to add one.
There are also a lot of bad things that can happen by adding one.

So, if I were you. I'd remove the fuel pump, remove the relays, remove the wiring, remove the switches.
It's a lot less stuff to go wrong or cause problems.

Hook the tank to the carbs. That simple.
You'll probably want a petcock of some kind in there too.
From the picture, the tank is the general shape of an F2/F3 tank, just with a cheap tank cover over it.
So I'm guessing there is one on the bottom of the tank already.

No F2's ever had fuel pump.
F3's did have fuel pump because of the ram air.

Why did the previous owner add one. We will probably never know. People do stupid stuff all the time.

There are 0 benefits to adding one. It does nothing.

The negative. Tons. Most people can't wire electrical for ****.
So if the guy wasn't smart enough to know it didn't need a fuel pump, what does the wiring look like.
So you can get shorts, blowing fuse, electrical fire. Could fry the already poor reg/rec if you still got the original.
Gas fire from pump leaking. Flooded carbs, hydrolocked engine, blown starter.
I could go on. The list of bad things this might cause is endless.
