Front shocks

Hi, im going to replace CBR600F2 front fork oil. I have few questions:

1) The specific oil amount i need to pour in to each fork ? ( my manual doesn't mention this )
2) Best front fork oil brand ?
3) Is it ok to put ATF oil to the front fork ?

Amount is 508cc and level is 118mm from top , as regards ATF think the jury is out on that one:icon_wink:

Yup, 91-93 F2's are 508cc and 118mm from top of tube.

I personally would not use ATF. The manual calls for Honda SS-8 fluid.
It's a 10w fork oil, so you could substitute any other 10w fork oil.
As always, you can adjust the oil weight and level to suit your weight and riding style too.

Brand of oil doesn't really matter that much. Maxima is good, if you can get it where you are. I use 10w, but you could use 5w or even 15w if you want to play with the dampening a bit. The best thing you can do is get the correct springs for your weight.

I remember reading that there some use of atf in a front end, but i can't remember which bike it was. Fork oil is too available and cheap to use anything else, so why not.
