I'm curious to know what happens when you loose the oil in one or both of your front forks?
I have never experience this situation and I'm wondering how I would know. What would be the first thing I would notice?
I have a small leak now. Thanks for your input!

 

You will notice a much 'squishier' ride. Basically it'd be like riding in a car with no shocks -- just springs will make you bounce around a lot. Very unsafe!! How big a leak do you have?

 

If you lose all the oil in the fork it can cause the fork to extend and then stay extended..VERY BAD!!

 

Time to rebuild them thangs...

If it's leaking now, it's only a matter of time before the oil is all gone. Riding will accelerate the oil loss.

See if you can find a fork rebuild kit. It should have all the seals/O-rings you need.

 

you want to be carefull when riding with little or no fluid it will put alot more stess on the springs so replace the seals fast and it will save you from buying other new parts
