Default First & maybe Last

Well,
I'd like to say the cbr was my first bike but it really was a yamaha XJ project that never left the garage until it was sold. Now I have a F2 CBR600 that I bought for $600. Me being the trusting guy that I am paid the guy $600 for the bike to find out that the carbs were not what was keeping him from riding the bike. This motor blows blue smoke when rev'd and got very loud when it was warm. Soo. now Im going to try and make back my money on this bike. Dont know if I will try again but I know now that $600 will not get you something that is working. This project was going to be in seasons/years as I wanted to ride the bike for a while and see if I like it enough to do more to it. But... Im just going to suck it up to a learning experince and listen to Daniel Powter - Bad Day. All day

I would strive for tail and front F4 conversions right away. Youll end up spending about the same amount of money and time anyways.

just my thought

I would replace the motor for Around 3-400 dollars like me and then you still have a less than or equal to 1k bike

Well I got good news. My buddy tried running the bike a second time but for a little longer. After about 3 hrs of jacking with it the loud chain noise quit and it stop blowing blue smoke. The chain noise I'm hoping will go away with a manual chain tensioner if I can do that. Not sure.... but this was great news for me. So now I can start getting parts I need to get her on the road and ride.....

Default More good news

Bike run and runs good. Chain tensioner seems not to be working after it gets warm so I will have to address that some how. But two of my good friends helped me out in a HUGE way. My petcock doesn't work and my carbs are incomplete so I'm using the tank and carbs from one of my friends bike. HUGE help, I can not thank them enough. Here is some video:
