Finally did it, and it works

I always wanted to upgrade the front and rear ends on my F2 to look like the 500cc bikes of that era. Upside down forks, aluminum swingarm, etc. So, last year I bought a CBR929 front end complete (almost) with front wheel, discs, bars (almost), and fender. Then I continued checking on all the posts about swapping front ends. Some made them work as street fighters, but I wanted the fairings to stay. At the same time, I tried to get a Koso clone, the SS-182 dash to work, figuring the extra clearance for the bars would help.

So, here it is, ready for a track day at Sonoma Raceway in California. It worked really well for a slow guy like me. :icon_lol:

The secret is to cut the two lower fairing braces behind the headlight. With some button head screws for the fork stops and grinding the plastic radiator guard to allow more turning clearance, you have it. With existing, stock instrument cluster minus the surround.
