Default filter problems

I recently purchased a K&N filter and it was really hard to get the lid closed up tight (really had to crank down on screws to close the gap) is that normal with aftermarket filters?

Same problem here. My BMC airfilter is a real squeeze to get in place.

Reminds me of that cartoon where Donald is packing his bag for the holliday. Jumps on the suitcase to get it closed, then trims of the clothes around the edges with a pair of scissors.

Lol!

Same problem here. Don't worry, the seal is good.
