They look much better, great that they managed to fix them. Fork oil is something that most folk will never do.
I changed mine recently and the R/H fork fluid was very dirty, the L/H side not so much! Go figure.

On with the 'tweaking' let is know where you get to

Yeah, agreed. Those look much better now.

Probably about time I changed my fork fluid too.
Think it's been 35k or so since the last change.

Its probably the age rather than the mileage that most folk should think about, most of our bikes are getting on for 20 years old and I bet most with low ish miles have never been changed IMHO

It's a combination of both, for most people age is probably the biggest factor.
If you ride a lot or harsh conditions, then mileage does play a factor.
In my case, I ride a LOT and I have a long gravel driveway.
I should probably change my fluids more than I do, but I'd rather be out riding.

Quick tweak on the rebound and preload, feels much MUCH better, actually went around corners without feeling like it was trying to kill me, drops in quite quick but manageable, mid corner great and corner exit great, happy days. Gonna do it properly when I can get to my mates so he can help me get my SAG measurements but for now feels like I've got her back.

So many bikes out today, every 30 seconds one came in the other direction 🤟

Well I realize I'm beating a dead horse here. , but I just couldn't help myself. I found a brand new F2 shop manual online and as an impulse buy, I purchased it. The one thing that bothered me was that the online versions of the shop manuals left out Section1. That typically has all the general information and maintenance items in it. Sure enough, Section 1 has the factory setting for the Preload and Rebound settings. I know, a day late and a dollar short, but now we know.

Top of Page 1-11, Section 1 General Information

"7 clicks" is interesting, before I had the forks serviced it didn't click when I turned it, now it does so that makes sense, I'll measure in clicks instead of quarter turns from now on.
Plus that's really handy to have isn't it, gonna steal that and save it to my phone haha 🤟

Cheers dude!!

Getting a new rear tyre tomorrow, going for a Michelin 2CT to match the front, means I get to hang out at the garage for a bit again haha

Go for it. It's been slow around here lately. We got to have something to do.

That table is missing one thing. The 94 forks (after 93) use Pro Honda SS-7 (5wt) fork oil. The SS-8 is (10wt).
Of course as always, you can mix and match until you get a flavor you like.
I think I'm running 7.5wt in mine. But who knows, I can't remember.
