I was just wondering if a f4i tail would fit onto an f2 and if so how hard would it be to modify it.

 

This is my F2.

I modified the very end of the sub frame and bent it up. about where the lower and the upper rail connect. then I installed brackets to make the rear seat secure. I used alot of u bolts, threaded rod. and 1/8in steel strips.

I don't have pictures right now I will see if i can find them.

 

Im wanting to get all f4i plastic off of ebay because they look really cool and are pretty cheap but how do you get them all to fit???????

it would be a pretty extensive task, but it can be done. anything is possible. i love modding bikes and seeing others do the same ( take a look at my gallery) but i would almost be tempted to leave that bike alone. looks pretty clean the way it is. i would change that front end b4 i changed the bodywork. maybe some carbon fenders, mirrors, etc.

 

The split seats looks sweet. I may do it to mine. But if you want a different look with less work a 97-98 f3 tail looks much better than the 91-96 tails IMO and would be a direct bolt on.

 

Well thx for the info but i think im going to start piece by piece. I think ill start with the tail and get it to fit then move on to the farings and so on. But it might be awhile till i start the project because i have to find a tail off of ebay which should be easy since they have alot of f4i stuff. But ill let you guys know when i need help so you can help me as much as you can thx.

 

If I was going to do this I'd probably get an aftermarket 1 piece tail and go from there. You will need seats and everything else. PITA but I think it would be worth it in the long run.

 

ya thats a good idea to get the one piece tail because it might be hard to get the rear seat to mount on and i have no idea how i would mount it on i wish kulrevon could tell me how he did his but he is never on the forums anymore it seems like but i have found alot of pics of this don that i can show u guys that r intersted in it.
