ok i know there are like 15 arcticles on this but i could not find one in the search that answered my ?

i am putting a 98F3 tail on it and do i need to change the seat what about the center tail piece and do i have to change the taillight. i can get all these things but dont want to get them if i dont need them... thanks in advance/.

 

i am 90% sure you need all three. tail, lights, seat

I plan on doing this soon also. The 97-98 tails looks nice.

I think I may just get a 1 piece deal from cheetah racing. They are around 150 on ebay plus you'd need a taillight.

 

i thought about a one piece also but i found a really good deal on the set so i cant pass it up but i will post pics when i get it done..

 

ok i found the answer for sure... the f2 seat fits 1991-94 F2's and 95-96 F3's. so to do the swap i do need a 96-98 seat. thanks guys!

 

Okay all you need for this mod is the 98 center tail panel,tail fairings,and new light. The seat is the same. Have you thought about a solo tail. I have one on my bike and it looks sweet.

 

you can use the F2 seat but it leaves a gap around the tail and i dont like the way that looks, i want it to look like it was supposed to be on my bike so i went ahead and got the F3 seat.

i did look at the solo tail but i dont like that too much.. just personal prefrence i guess.
