Are you talking about drag racing at a strip, road racing around a track, or from my house down to the corner 7-11? And by newer, are you talking a little newer (2002) or a lot newer (2008)? And lets not forget rider skill differences, I'd pick Miguel Duhamel on a honda spree over a noob on a hayabusa if there was even one corner involved. So to answer your question - slower, faster, about the same.

Well if you remove rider skill, reaction time and corners, then it's simple. The bike with the most HP will win. 750's will beat the 600's and the newer bike will beat the older bikes.

New technology, aerodynamics, more power, less weight, fuel injection... Why would you even ask this question?

Newer bikes > F2... that said, I SERIOUSLY miss my old F2. I sold it to buy an engagement ring. I replaced it with an F4 the following year, and have since moved on to an F4i. I just miss the simplicity of that F2. It was so easy to work on and would easily hold its own on a twisty road.
