As far as mods, it has a Wileyco full exhaust. The bike has had a rough life and looks like shi t, but even after that trackday and a highside later in the season it's still going strong

Nice one. Great track vid indeed. One of the best track videos I've seen actually. Very inspiring. I watch that probably every week before I go out on my own F2. It's pretty incredible just how much punishment these engines take and keep on going, but then again, that's what they were designed for. I'm the "IIarcon2II" user on youtube.

Don't worry, there's no need for any of us to argue over anything. We're mature adults who just love our bikes But saying the F3 is a little better is pretty vague. Since you've owned so many, maybe you could give us some specific details? I don't know much about the F3, but I've heard people say that the Ram air feature and a few other new additions, made it harder to work on/more complicated than what little performance the features added to the bike was worth. Specs say a difference of 5 horspower and the F3 heavier by 2 pounds. But of course as the industry fine tuned bike design, all the technology combined made a modern bike much more exhilerating.

On a bike about what amount of hp would be enough to make a noticeable difference? I feel like my F2 gets up and goes pretty easily. Ha.

I obviously love the platform. The F2 and F3 are so very similar. However, Honda did make improvements over the 8 years the F2/3 was in production. It tweaked the F3 in the last 2 years. 2 lbs is nothing when considering you can rid the bike of misc items that are not needed and get rid of at least that. Also consider that 5lbs = 1hp. HP and suspension is one of the changes made from the F2 to the F3 ('94 F2 did have the rebound adjustment). My '94 F2 superbike was competetive with stock F3 bikes with around 99-100rwhp. A well built late model F3 Superbike can see around 108rwhp. Having a good engine builder/tuner will help.

I have a 94 f2 right now I got for 500 bucks! only have owned a 87 hurricane 600 before that and the hurricane was a great bike!! best 100 bucks I ever spent. recently sold it for 1200 and miss the hell out of it already. but the f2 is by far faster than the old cane and handles a lot better. I want to try a f3 so bad! just to see if theres much difference than the f2. rode a f41 and that was a whole different animal!

Those old hurricanes are nice. My brother has a CBR 929. He goes through bike pretty frequently. Before that, he had a 2002 GSX 1000. I'm in no hurry to kill myself, but i've never heard anyone complain about a little more power. That said, power means nothing, if you don't know how to incorporate it into your riding style. That's why I like the F2. It's a well balanced bike for the power output and easy to adapt to.
