f2 to f4i gauge conversion?? help
Hi, I am looking to convert to the f4i gauges without converting to f3 harness or motor. Let me say first I have been doing a lot of research and been reading forms till my head hurts. I have cross this product and was wounding if anyone has used it or if they think it might work. on bottom there is the link and its a dakota adapter that uses the cable and converts it to a digital signal. The problem i am having is that it say that it adapts to a thread size of 5/8" thread. I do not know if the speed cable will work. If not i would like to use a wheel driven speedo from a sv650 if anyone thinks that will work easier. please give me some input. I will be doing a whole write up with pictures and step by step instructions any input will help and i will give you credit in my instructions for your information. Also any other ways of getting this to work I am willing to here ideas you got

I know how you feel BUT i think i have found the answer to this. After I came across some thread somewhere, i found out that a 900rr sprocket cover fits on our f2. The 92-95(i need to double check) 900rr has a sensor that pulls the speed off the nut on the front sprocket and converts it to a digital signal. I just got mine in the mail and i am in the process of wiring it up now. Im going to look for the tread and post it up to give you a better understanding of what i am talking about.
