I have a f2 & I need a new gas tank. I found a guy that has a f3 tank but were not sure if it will bolt right up or not. Will it? Are they the same. & will I need any modifications at all for this swap? Thanks

 

I think they are the same, but you will need to transfer your fuel valve and vaccum pump from the F2 tank to the F3 tank. Check the parts compatibility thread.

 

I would be careful with that one. If I am not mistaken the F3 tank is a little larger, something like 1 liter larger. I couldn't tell you if it bolts on the same or not, but i think the tanks are different. Sorry i can't be of more help.

 

The tanks are interchangeable. Just use the petcock from your old tank on the F3 tank. The F3 petcock will not work on the F2 engine because it needs a fuel pump to work. The F2 petcock fits right in.
