Nice. I was hoping the front rim would work. Oh well.

BUMP!

What do you have to do to use F3 forks, exactly?

RE: F2-F3 interchangability

F3 forks must have with them in order to work:

F3 fender \
F3 wheel > ---- These 3 must go together,these are not interchageable with F2
F3 calipers / front end parts

Exceptions are listed below*.

I recommend using an F3 lower triple clamp when doing this changeover

*Now,you can use F3 internals in F2 forks, with some small modifications to the F2 dampening rod uppers. All cartridge uppers will swap.

*The F3 fork leg uppers and internals will fit F2 fork leg lowers.

Make sure you use new seals when re-doing suspension.Use OEM seals, they are the best.

RE: F2-F3 interchangability

I'm going to start building an F2 from the ground up. Bare frame that is.

I'd rather use all F3 parts if possible, but does anybody know what F2 parts I'd HAVE to use?

RE: F2-F3 interchangability

Will the rear tire hugger from a 97 f3 fit a 94 f2?

RE: F2-F3 interchangability

so 95-96lower and tail fairings will fit on a 94 F2 with out having to change any other parts, but if you wanted to use the 97-98 on a 94 f2, you'd need a new seat and tail light?

RE: F2-F3 interchangability

I was looking over that list and learned a lot. My input: I am quite certain that the wiring harnesses are different. The CDI box has different number of pins and F2 has no elec fuel pump.
