well, you're going to be down on power, making you work the bike harder to get up to speed - but I have driven mine on 3 cyls, and it isn't unridable.

You've apparently still got a carb or compression issue at this point though. With the bike running on 3 cylinders, can you shoot starting fluid down the carb venturi and have the bike pick up on all 4?

What is the carb venturi? The intake of the carb? sorry im kinda new to this so dont know all of the terminology yet.

I ran into the same issue when I had my bike in the shop for a tune up. The mechanic said the 4th cylinder wasn't firing. He had to get a air cut off valve our something I can't remember what it was called

Yeah - I'm referring to the opening in the carb where air is sucked in.

So i was finally able to get a few spare minutes to look at my bike again(moving is a royal pain) and it looks like cylinder 3 which is the one that wasnt looking is staying within 50-70 degrees of the other cylinders, where before it would only get to about 200 and stay there. would you say this means that its probably working, but not fully? I havent had a chance to try the starting fluid yet, but i noticed this and thought i would update
