F1 or F2?

Whatever you do dont listen to this guy because he has no idea what he is saying. The 929, 750, and the F2 are almost the same when it comes to weight, and length. The only difference is the 929 and 750 have more power.
Trust me when i say the F2 will be fine for you. I have ridden dirtbikes since i was a kid and my first street bike was a F2. I loved that bike. Just take it easy till you get the hang of things and it will become much more fun. You cannot go wrong with getting a F2 i promise.

On the other side, The F2 is more lowerd to the gound than the 929 which makes the F2 handling much better than most of the bikes i have owned and ridden. The power is there just when you need it. Its like when you dont feel like going fast? The bike will certainly not push you but if you do decide to go fast, then good luck. If you control the F2, which i am sure you can, The F2 will never control you! So F2 is the way to go

Each day I log on here I get more convinced the F2 is the bike for me. I'm a novice but also I want some power for when I'm more confident. I hear good things about the handling of this bike all the time. I don't want to have to fight a bike round the bends so an easy handling bike is what I want. I'm still finding the prices a bit high for rough examples though. A girl in new members from York found a great one for £500. Wish I could but I've got time on my side. I'll just have to be patient and wait for the right bike.

i have a 87 hurricane first year of the "cbr" and i absolutely love it!! ive never ridden a f2 but have ridden a f3 and a f4I.. the f4I i thought sucked. its way lighter than the earlier bikes.. thats the only thing i liked about it.. i dont think theres any difference in the f1 hurricane and the f2 besides the plastics and maybe the f2 has like 5 hp more or something. the problem with the first gen.. is the plastics are very hard to come by and very expensive. the f2 is a little cheaper. im working on getting one bike of each generation cbr.

Thanks for the info vdubracer. I like both models and I've got all winter to search. If an F1 came up first in excellent condition I might be tempted but would prefer the F2. I see you are banned. Why so many bannings around here? Why is this member banned? I see he's been around since over two years ago.

Wow... lots of bad information in here!
First off, don't save up or beat yourself up over your first bike. You are highly likely to drop it, damage it, and possibly crash it. Everyone likes to think they'll tippy toe better than the others and blah blah blah... well let's be honest and humble, and realize that there's a good chance you'll crash. All new riders do, generally it's a small crash, but crashing a street bike causes more damage than you may know!
So, a beater bike is okay, and infact wise. What's nice about them is they'll retain the value regardless of if they're dropped again. Also, you'll avoid buying getting emotionally attached to a really nice new bike, and have to tear up when you wad it up by accident.
Now, as for the F2 as a first bike:
It can get you from 0-60 mph quicker than you can see "I wonder if this is this a good idea?"
So yeah, your friends are right. quit with the vanity and go for some humility. Once you've worked out your beginner bugs you can go for vanity. Until then, err on the side of caution. It'll save you lots of headache and heartache, and possibly your life as well.

Precisely. Just get a **** bike, put in your six months, drop the **** out of that bike, learn your lessons well, and then get your pretty bike.
Getting a pretty bike for your first bike is a lot like thinking you'll marry the first person you f-ck. It may be fun at first, but the first one almost never lasts!
