Dumb question # 2,343,484
Is there anOwners manual out there for the 91 F2? I have the F2 service manual and the Honda common service manual but is there a 'operations' or'owners'manual. I keep running into questions that I can't find the answers to and was hoping there is another resource.
For instance:
1) Does the 91 F2 have a rev limiter? If so, can I safely use it to protect the engine from overspin if I miss a gear?
2) On the rear shock, the spring it looks adjustable but how? I'd like to stiffen it up, (I'm 205 -without my girlfriend). Can I just grab the adjustment nut and turn it with channel locks?
3) How long can the engine run near the red line? (Obviously until it blows but...any recommendations?)
I have other questions but they are even dumber. I just 'found' the throttle stop adjustment the other day and I am still playing with the **** next to it. Is the the reserve fuel valve or a shutoff or both? I will eventually get it but then to remember, (my memory is the second shortest thing I have).
thanks

RE: Dumb question # 2,343,484
ive always been told that these bikes are basically race bikes that are street legal. because of that there is usually no problem with keeping high rpms for an extended period of time or even bouncing it off the rev limiter. thats no to say that i do because i tend to baby my bike a bit more, but theres no mechanical reason not to do it if you want to (as long as you dont overheat). about the rev limiter preventing overspin, im not really sure, hopefully someone else can shed some light there.
