Default Couple more whacks at a dead horse...

About to put on new tires, and from what I've read in these posts, this can start an all out war over brands. So I'm gonna try to do this a little differently...

Gotta replace the rear - guy I bought it from has on a Shinko195/50 and it's managed to rub the chain til it finallybroke (wish I had noticed that rubbingbefore I bought it). Front's ok, but figuremight as well get a new matching set.

My F2 is my commuter - work, school, etc. It will probably never see wheelies, burnouts, or race speeds (sorry to dissappoint, guys, but I gotta be practical right now). Though it willget somerain andwet roads, occasional traffic, and sand.

That said, any objections to a pair of Michelin Pilot Roads, in the original sizes?

Foundsome locally, and from what I can decipher from the Tire Wars posts, these could be good for wet weather. Though it doesn't always rain here, it's enough to make this a priority.

Thanks

I don't know exactly, I hope it's the original rim so there's no problems going back to stock. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Any way to tell beforehand?

I dont think a 195 will even fit on our rims...

Could be off an RC51?

Yea...A 195! I just sold a 190 and that thing was about as wide as my swingarm...Are you sure it's a 195?

I put Qualifiers on last year and I am very very impressed by them! Not sure how they will do in the rain as I dont like wet riding but they heat up fast and are super sticky!

CORRECTION:

190/50 is what was on the stock rim - not 195 (oops)

It's getting it's new shoes as we speak - mechanic hasn't found too many other problems with the moto (so far). Guess that's good news.Gotta go pick it up now. Hope it runs .

Thanks guys!
