Hi All,

First time poster, long time motorcycle owner.

I have a question about changing the decal colours on my 91 F2. I have one of the funky early 90's decal scheme that has neon colours on it. The one colour I am not too thrilled about is the Pink. I'd love to change the colour of them, as they don't really suit me, nor does it match my jacket (I have a Joe Rocket Red/White/Black jacket).

Has anyone had any luck changing out the decals? Is there anywhere I could pick up a replacement colour for just that pink stripe? I called the Honda dealership about it, and they want over $150.00 for a new complete set. As for replacement colour, any suggestions?

My second question is on OEM paint. Two summers ago, someone cut me off and I had to dump the bike (low-speed crash). fortunately, I only did minor damage to the left-hand side of the upper fairing. I wanted to repair it and repaint it the same colour, but I'm having a heck of a time finding paint for it. I'm not even sure of the colour code.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Oh, and I've included a pic of the bike (the red is a lot more pinker than indicated in the pic).

I used to own a 94 FZR, the purple one, ugghh! Anyway I used a heat gun to peel all of the purple graphics off of it. One side came off perfect, the other side left a gummy mess which I had to use goof off to remove. I think tapeworks.com sells decent graphics kits.

i have the same bike you do man. and yea that pink is hideous. i have a friend who owns a body shop and i am borrowing his heat gun and professional rubbing compounds to get rid of the pink stickers and bring some life back to the plastic. the bike is not painted from the factory except for the tank. the plastic is just plastic the headlight faring is blue and the rest is black. what i did was take off the two pink bits on the headlight faring as well as the pink pits on each lower fairing and the pick on the rear fairing. then used 3M Professional rubbing compound on all the plastics and the tank to bring the color back.

Thanks for the info, folks.

I contacted an advertising sponsor of this site, and he recommended silver in place of the pink. I also played with Photoshop and also saw that a Red stripe would look good as well.
