CBR600F2 to CBR600F3 Front wheel
can you put a F3 wheel on an F2? i have a 94 that was changed over to a F3 but i noticed the other day that it still had the F2 front wheel on it (Mech. speed sensor in the wheel dead give away) so im wondering if i can swap it out for the F3 wheel i like the way the rotors look on the F3's. Would i need new bearing or spacers?im pretty sure it has F3 forks on it but i dont know how to tell. Suggestions?

Can you post some pics of the front end. Its not possible to fix the F3 forks on the F2 wheels with F3 rotors. Post a pic and we will be able to tell you what setup you have

best pic i can find what i would like to do is put an F3 wheel with the F3 rotos on here but not sure it will work maybe this is why the F2 wheel was left on here i dont know. what it boils down to is "Can an F3 front wheel fit an F2" Using all of the f3's hardware (rotors)". So if i toke an F3's front wheel complete with rotors will it fit my bike without any problems? |
What exactly do you mean, " I have a 94 that was changed over to a F3"? What was changed over?

These are not F3 forks, you are still on F2 front forks.

Seems confusing lol. My only doubt is F2 calipers with not fir on the F3 forks and even if it does then F2 wheels and rotors and caliper position with not align.
If you have the F2 wheel, rotor and caliper on F3 forks then you have helped me a lot as i have spare F3 forks and i will put on my F2 wheel and calipers and give away the speedo :) |
do we know of a sure fire way of telling what forks are on a bike? part numbers stamped on them or something?
