Default CBR Temperature gauge

Nice and easdy question, the OEM temp gauge on the CBR F2 is it water temp or oil temp? Im curious as I am looking to purchase a universal temp gauge as I am currently street fighting my 94 F2.

Many thanks

It is a water temp gauge. Your aftermarket gauge might or might not work with the original temp sensor depending on the ohm range of your gauge, my google-fu isn't good enough to speed-check what the ohm range for the original sensor is, but if it doesn't read correctly you can always put an another temp sensor into one of the coolant hoses with one of these:

Do not swap the original temp sensor to match the gauge as that controls the fan.

They also make oil temp gauges that replace your oil cap.
