cbr f2 ape cct wont fit

Okay guy i just got my ape cct in the mail today. i went to install it and the size for the bolts and the opening is a different size. the package say it fits cbr600f hurrican and cbr600 f2. whats the deal here? I then decided to check the engine and see if its the original. I checked and the vin on the motor my the oil case isnt the same as the frame. Do i have a different engine? it does say 599cc. Is it possibly from an f3 or f4? how do i tell? or is it just the part?

Your mcct came with bolts? I had to use my original bolts.

what was the part number on your CCT? Pics plz? My APE didn't come with bolts either - you reuse the stock ones, and the stock gasket.

What was the serial number on your motor - top of the right hand side just inside where the clutch actuator lever is. The engine's serial number won't match the VIN on your frame. Your bike is a 94, so it should start with a PC25E-2300001-xxxxxxx. F2 motors start with a 20 after PC25E for the 91 models, 21 for 92's, 22 for 93's. F3 Motors would start with PC25E-2400001-xxxxxxx for 95 models and increase by one each year.

Did you get it sorted Honda_Sol?
I was thinking your bike doesnt have the origional bolts, you could look it up on bikebandit.com and see if the bolt matches.

Yeah i got it running perfect guys, but now it seems to have a little leak of oil coming from it?? whats the deal. the gasket seemed alright and it is deffinately tight enough. Maybe just try a new gasket?

the gasket has to be put in the right direction - one side has a channel for the oiler hole, the other side doesn't. If it is upside down, it might cause that.

The side with the groove faces the tensioner.
