hi guys ive got a 1991 cbr 600 with a few mods.

dyno jets k&n race can etc etc, now i had the intake bit of the bike stripped down and cleaned the other week and i noticed the two pipes that come off the lid of the air box just go into the gap above the coils and nothing else.

im guessing something is missing as theres nothing after these 90 degree bends, should there not be more pipework that goes to the openings on the fron of the bike, will i be loosing any power etc from these just sitting in this area as it looks like its only going to have access to dead air as the area is closed off with covers etc and wiring lol.

and is there any mods that can be done to the std air box to help get more air into it? ive read about restrictors and bits int the airbox to slow the air down.

is there any more info on these etc.

Thats how mine is also. I am pretty sure there is nothing missing.
