Question CBR 600 F2 Fan Problem

Ok, after fixing the CCT problem, now my problem is my bike overheats when idling at a stop. My fan does not kick in when it is supposed to. Few things that are already wrong: My temp gauge doesn't work (moves slightly when ignition is turned on) and secondly my fan doesn't work at all. I read most of the fan problems other people had on this forum but mines doesn't seem to relate. I've done the trick where I create a short circuit to see if the fan moves, and I get nothing. I've checked the fuses, replaced them with new ones and still no. I've checked to see if the previous owner wired the fan in wrong and it's correct. However, he told me it stopped working when he took the entire radiator off and put it back together. By the way, the thermostat and water pump are surprisingly fine as well. Any tips on what I could do further to check if the fan itself is completely dead? Crossing my fingers that I don't have to buy a new fan. Sheesh, they're expensive for my budget :0

make sure the ground wire got put back on for the switch. it mounts on the radiator bracket (i think). if good, ground the power wire at the switch. if fan kicks on, then the switch is bad. if it doesnt, check for power at the switch. if you have power and bypassing the switch doesnt turn on the fan, fan is dead. verify by giving power and ground to the fan and see if it works. if there is no power at the switch, trace power as per the wiring diagram.

I got two fans, dont use either one. Bike is track only. If you need one let me know. I would be extremely reasonable with price. Where are you at. I am 20 miles south of Morgantown WV.

Thanks! I'll let you know if the fan is the problem. If it is, I'll PM you asap. I have a PayPal account. I'm located all the way in California. I've checked with the test lamp to see if the fan is the problem and so far it looks like it is ok. I have a break in the circuit somewhere. I have no power coming from the connectors and the fuse for the fan. So I'm stuck, maybe it is the motor? When it comes to wiring, I'm lost :0 So let me know your thoughts. Thanks again

I think i mis typed. Check for power at the fan connector. The switch at the radiator just completes the ground. There wont be power there, but if you ground the switch wire, the fan should turn on. (key on)

Ya check the fans power on like a battery before buying a new one. Next check the coolant temp sensor
