Brakes

So I have been riding my bike for about a month now and then I stopped about a week and a half ago. Then the other day I went to do my pre-ride and noticed two puddles of brake fluid (no bigger than a tablespoon), one on each side of the front tire. The leak is very slow and therefore I can't locate it. The temperature has gone up about 10+ degrees in the last two week, could heat expansion explan this? I though brake fluid was heat resistive:(
Any ideas of common leaking point on the front brakes and why it would start leaking on both sides at about the same rate and both start at the same time???????

RE: Brakes

sounds like calipers or maybe your brake lines.. it shouldnt be to hard to find the source. good luck

RE: Brakes

Just to add a note, I do store my bike on a center stand (one of the probable ones, can't remember what they are called right now). It didn't leak before when I used it, but just to check I put the bike down last night on the kick stand and now this morning there is no drips on the right side and only a little one on the left side (towards the tilt, hummmm).

RE: Brakes

The problem I am having is that it appears to be a very very slow leak. After I wipe stuff clean I and sit around for about 30mins, there is nothing, however overnight a little puddle developes. So I am think it the calipers too because it looks pretty dry above the calipers.

since you say thath it leaks on both sides when it is on the center stand, and only leaks on the left when its on the kick stand I would say thet you probably have a leak on the brake lines some where above your front fender.
