Booked MOT for tomorrow.... drain carbs?

Hello,

My bike has been sitting in the garage for over 8 months and I decided today to spontaneously book an MOT for tomorrow! Do you think it's worth removing the carbs and giving them a quick clean or just leaving them as they are?

The bike has only done a few hundred miles since I last stripped and cleaned the carbs (they were immaculate) but it's been sitting in the garage since.

It's the sitting not the use that gets them clogged as the stale gas in the carbs forms crap into the bowls that get sucked into the jets. If it runs on all four and has a crisp throttle response once warmed up enough to run without choke you're good but cleaning them might be a good idea anyway. The fact that a carb LOOKS clean doesn't necessarily make it so, the jets are wee small so even the smallest piece of impurity can clog them up.
