Default Bike Wont Crank over

Hey everyone i just bought a 93 f2 and i ran fine for two days after i bought it and now it doesnt even crank over, ive tried charging the battery and nothing. I did some research and i found out that the bike does not have a regulator/rectifier so i am wondering if that could be the problem

thank to everyone in advance

The bike does NOT have an R/R? That's odd... Is the harness for it still there? Burnt up? I would say that is definitely part of the problem. Also, when you try to start it, do you hear a click from the starter solenoid or anything? Any lights on the gauge cluster turning on?

No the R/R didnt come with the bike unfortunatly i found that out after ive purchased the bike. The harness is still there and looks to be in good condition. There was a click the first couple times i tried to start it, im charging the battery tonight. The lights do work when the ignition is on.

Hmm, not sure, but I'm thinking the R/R completes the circuit for the charging/starting system. DO NOT buy a stock CBR R/R. Get one off of a late model Suzuki GSXR. Much better. Run a search on here and you'll find out the details of the conversion.

Also if it clicked a couple times, that means the starter solenoid is engaging, but the starter gear (bendix) may be stuck. Try tapping the starter gently with a hammer. If you hit it too hard you'll break apart the magnets inside the starter. You might also not have enough voltage to engage the starter. Let me know what happens tomorrow with a charged battery.

the r/r does not complete the circuit for the starting system. you can run your bike with a fully charged battery for about 15-20 minutes before it will just die out. the r/r contols the charging system only. im running an aftermarket f2 r/r on mine right now (borrowed from a buddy) but im doing the gsx-r conversion this week. picked a 2004 gsx-r 750 r/r up off ebay for $30 shipped.
