Unhappy Bike running super rich?

Hey guys,

I really need your help this time guys! So before I start, let me tell you a brief summary about my bike... It's a 92 F2, It has a Jardine RT-1 muffler and a K&N filter+Box. No clue if the jetting is stock...My bike is running SUPER rich. Pulled the plugs out and they are pitch black and sooty. At idle, all I smell is gas. Revs fine and throttle response is good. However, its running super rich and I'm getting horrible gas mileage. About 90 miles to the tank. Not to mention, it's a pain to start up cold or warm! Carbs are sparkly clean. So what do I adjust? Pilot screws?

Thanks much appreciated!

Start with screwwing down the pilot screws, the more open they are, the richer the motor. I would probabley ask someone knowledgeable about carbs to help you finesse this in your area. Obviously afterwards, clean your plugs.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. I'll look more into carb tuning before I tweak the pilot screw settings. Thanks for your input
