Heck yea, my paint finally came in. I am super freakin excited, I couldn't wait to ride though so I rigged it up to street fighter. The project was on hold waiting on this paint, I went with anthracite grey pearl and arctic white. If it looks as good as it does in my head it will be pretty dang awesome. Hopefully I will be done in the nest two weeks, although I think that is being hopeful.

Nice work! I also did all my own plastic repair. Patched a few massive holes and painted with Standox Black! Made a LED integreated taillight and love how my bike looks (expect for white rims!) You are going the right direction with your bike!

I also have that integrated tail light. I think it's awesome! I got mine for $104 off eBay. The resistors they supply with the kit are crap, and mine broke while I was trying to install. I went to a local electrical supply store and bought some better quality ones for $3 each. My signals blink slowly, and the back end looks clean.
I like that paint scheme too. Post a pic of a larger piece when you get it done!

Here are some more pics of the other pieces finished and some of them in paint. I still need to do the pinstriping and then put them back on.

Looks good.

I was about to post in another thread that the bike in your avatar is just like mine paint wise, so I'm a bit partial to red and white.

I prepped my bike for paint, including an aftermarket fiberglass racetail. Make sure you get your new piece mounted and all holes drilled first. I had to do some trimming for my undertail to still fit. Then I sanded with fine paper on a vibrating sander to scuff it up. Then I wet sanded by hand with 400 to smooth it out. I then applied three coats of rattle-can primer (make sure it is compatible with your paint!!!) and wet sanded with 800 after each coat. After the wet sanding the primer needs to be smooth like glass...to get the best look with the paint.

Don't forget to clear either. And if you really want a kick a$$ paint job, color sand, and polishing compound.
