Default anyone have any ideas???

so, i've tried postin so many topics, and got no response, soooooooooo, if anyone could help me out that would br great, does anyone know how diffifcult it is to do a complete motor swap on an f2?? cuz my tranny is shot, and i can find a complete motor and trans for only a couple hundred more, and i was just wondering if someone with some wrench turnin experience( on cars at least) could do this without too much of a hassle, on a level of 1-10 what do you guys think it is?? help would be appreciated

Sorry dude -- I missed the tranny post. Anyway changing the engine/tranny as 1 piece will be easier than just swapping out the tranny (you'd have to drop the engine either way). The main points to taking out the engine are to have enough space for everything and to have the correct tools (or at least have something comparable). It is also a big help to have a second person there when you drop the motor. As far as difficulty -- I'd give it 7 because it's heavy and there are a lot of pieces (read: wiring harness) that have to all be plugged correctly or you'll get endless error codes. By comparison I'd give rebuilding forks a 10 -- those springs and seals are a great big hairy pain in the ***!

Good luck with the swap -- the extra hands can't be over emphasized.
