Aftermarket rearset alternative

Ok everyone....i was looking for some decent rearsets, checked out vortex and woodcrafts...and after some thought...i said to myself.......i dont want to spend $200 on fn rearsets....so i remember seeing some riser plates for gsxrs that did the same thing using the stock rearsets, and thought...why dont they make these for f2s...so what i did was get some steel (i think it was about 1/8th??) something not too heavy but to make sure it could hold all my weight.....and then cut a peice about 4" by 5" and then traced the holes on it and drilled them out..When mounting them if you decide to do this be sure to put two sets of washers between the frame and plates so it will clear the swing arm...especially on the rear brake side. Then for the shift lever you have to get one of those little long threaded bolt things and then a peice of treaded rod. I found some at homedepot...wich I think is around 2 dollars? Point being that i spent a total of 2 dollars plus tax and got a little over a inch in height increase for the pegs, inch and a half or so further back...and a little more aggressive angle, and got to fit it to my liking for 2 dollars and a little over two hours total....screw 200 dollars. Ill post pics once I take off some of the excess metal on them and get them powder coated.

The brake would be unaffected, but he'd need an extention for the shift lever.

I found just some threaded rod and some of those long double sided nut things at home depot..i pulled off my shift rod and am going to go see what fits today....the only thing that is a little tricky is getting the holes drilled right and having enough clearnce between the swing arm and the backside of the brake lever...couple washers fixed that.

The stock shifter rod has reverse threads on one side, so that's not going to work.
