Advice
I am looking at a couple 1994 CBR F2 cycles and I was curious if there is anything I should really look for in a older cycle as far as leaky seals or anything else. Never had a motorcycle before so i am not real sure what to look for? Does milage really matter if the cycle has been taken care of? One has 8900 miles and the other has 17000 miles. The one with the higher miles physically looks nicer. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

RE: Advice
You would check for the same stuff on an older bike as you would a newer one. There is a checklist in one of the forums higher up (Maybe general tech?)that tells what to look for. Even 17k isn'ta whole lot as I just picked up mine and it now has 30k miles.
Plan on picking up a used R/R for a spare as it seems all the CBRs built 5 years or more ago have a cheap POS for a factory unit. Everything else is fun and to be honest, I'd rather have a bike that looks good and be a bit older than a newer one that maybe has been dropped once or twice.

RE: Advice
Don't choose your bike based solely on mileage. I've heard this from many riders, that mileage doesn't mean anything when compared to great maintenance.
The bike with higher miles but that has been taken care of...regular oil changes, etc.... would be a better choice than the bike with less miles but which was abused, stunted, raced...with few oil changes, etc.
