I put it back and hit the start then I heard a loud pop like a light bulb blowing out. Anyone know what that was?

Your starter relay fuse is between the battery and the starter is a box with a 30amp fuse. Probably was what you heard and won't turn over. That fuse or in the fusebox itself found on side of the bike.

I took fuse but it doesn't look blown out and the box doesn't smell burnt.

Check all the fuses. If it doesn't turnover after that, replace your starter relay.
