Default 91 F2 Repsol Final

Ok so a bunch of you were asking when I was posting progress what changes I have made to body, farings, ect...

It is a 91 F2 full with sharkskinz racing plastic front end, R6 front fender (01 I think), F4i tail conversion. Locked other thread to use this for any questions anyof you have since I am now done.

What it looked like before I started this change, it was my track bike for years,,,

Aside from a few strange looking things, the bike overall looks pretty good. (the seat sides look odd stopping and leaving that gap to the front plastic nd the headlight looks odd IMO)

Anyway, I'd like to know more about the front fender. You say you put one from a different bike on there? Did it bolt up exactly? I think the one I have on there looks huge and ugly. I'd like to get something a bit smaller like the newer bikes and paint it black intead of purple.

Basic cash break down:
F4i tail - $150
Sharkskinz - Already had from racing $0
Main and passenger seat - $80/$60
Misc steal and aluminum - $40-$50
F4i tail light - $15
Decals - $68
Paint- $300
Total = $750-$800

I did it in two months; but would say total labor less paint was around 100 hours since I had lots of body work to the front end. Below is a link to a bunch of progress pictures...

All the other parts I already had which saved the little gotcha's. Being in a small town I got away with a cheap paint job which helped also. All the decals I worked out with the painter so I could put them on before the clear coat.

I will be out of town till Sunday and will answer questions then... time to take the new baby on a road trip!

Agreed, only issue I have is the headlight also... had to use what I could find. As for the seat gaps some fine tuning will be needed agreed...

Thing looks fast just sitting still. Like it. I'm not too crazy about the headlight either. Is that matched to the front fairing? I think the shape of the light isn't too bad. It might look better if it were clear. Love the F4i tail. Be nice to see something covering that gap between the front plastic and the seat though. You might want to consider hacking up the stock tail pieces to fit the space and painting them black (I see from the before pic. that they already were black). What are those mirrors? How do those mount (seems much different from stock mounting)? What is the rear shock from? What rearsets are on the bike?

I'm sure you could get away with that for sure...

As for the other questions: Ya I do need to do some adjustments but was in a rush to get it done for the Nebraskatubing trip this weekend (Niobrara if anyone lives close comeon out). I'm sure this winter I will put a 900rr motor in it and rework the headlight. The mirrors were easy to install, the thread end fits the original front ferring stay with a mount provided.

Edit: Oh and the rearsets are Pro-Tekk I picked up awhile back when I raced the bike. The rear shock is a Hot-Fox...
