Hey guys, I've been doing tons of research trying to find out how different a cbr 600f4 single seat is compared to the 94 f2.

Basically I have a streetfighter that is pretty much complete, but I do not like the look of the stock seat at all... way too bulky/ wide. I see that I can obtain an f4 single seat on ebay pretty cheap but i know it is not a direct bolt on.

I already chopped the back half of my subframe off (only after the stock seat mounting bolt location to keep support for the rider. the back will just have a seat cowl.)

from pictures i can see that the f4 seat does have a front lip that tucks under something to keep the front of the seat down... just like the f2 has, but the f4 has 2 extra on the sides. Being that i have no fairings, can anyone confirm that I can slip the f4 front seat plastic hook under the factory f2 spot? I can make a bracket to bolt the back of the seat up, but I need to know if the front will fit around the tank and that the hook will fit in the stock spot.

I hope im explaining this well enough. if anyone has access to both an f2 and an f4 that you can compare or take pix, that would be awesome! thanks a bunch!
