Steering Damper

Good day all

Has anyone installed a steering damper on their CBR600F?

Never felt the need for one.

Have you checked the wheel alignment / balance, suspension units, tyres, etc to see if anything is throwing the handling off?

I have not. The only time I’ve ever had issues is when my bar weights were either loose or fallen off.

Owned the bike for a year now, never had any issues

Recently got brand new dunlop sportmax q3s on... set the suspension to stock settings, i weigh 65kg, and yesterday and approximately 150kmh hit a slight bump and got a hell of a tank slapper, banged up my wrist and i lost front brakes for a bit

Any idea why the bike would do that...
and would a dampener help in the future

Changes to the tyres and to the suspension settings and the bike starts handling badly - personally, that’s where I’d start looking for your problems.

Thats whats confusing me... after fitting new tyres and adjusting suspension, the bike felt amazing... way better than before... and then i got the tank slapper and its had me wondering where to look to...

I don't know, maybe something loose so the forks have slipped / twisted in the yolks, the tyres weren't seated correctly so they're losing pressure ...

What I do know is to find the cause, not treat the symptoms.
