Frame Sliders/ Crash Protectors
Hello! Just got my cbr600f (first bike) and I want to install crash protectors. I noticed that most of them require fairing modification. Is it worth it?

A bit like insurance, you only need it if you have an accident.
If they are installed properly, they will save a lot of fairing damage in the event of a drop, low speed or standing. But I don't think it will save the bike in the event of a high speed spill.
I have heard of Blackbirds sustaining terminal frame damage by badly installed protectors.

If she's in good condition then personally I'd install them. A simple drop of your bike can still be expensive.
In the event of coming off and her sliding down the road then yes they will help somewhat. A friend of mine slid off on a track day and I was amazed at the job they did.
Anything near major and they're just ornaments really.
Enjoy your new bike mate !
